Classic Rice Pudding
The hint of spice adds just the right amount of flavour to this family favourite!

Ingredients
- 4
- Naturegg Omega 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 cup / 500 ml
- milk
- 1/2 cup / 125 ml
- sugar
- 1 tsp / 5 ml
- vanilla
- pinch
- salt
- 1 1/2 cup / 375 ml
- cooked short grain rice, cooled
- 1/2 cup / 125 ml
- raisins (optional)
- 1/8 tsp / 5 ml
- nutmeg, cinnamon .
Directions
Beat eggs, add milk, sugar, vanilla & salt.
Beat till fully mixed but not foamy.
Stir in rice (& optional ½ cup / 125 ml raisins).
Pour mixture into a 2-quart round casserole dish.
Bake uncovered in a water bath (place the casserole dish in a pan of water in the oven).
Bake 30 minutes at 325.
Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg and stir.
Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes.
Serve hot or cold in individual dessert bowls.
