Classic Rice Pudding

Ingredients

Naturegg Omega 3 eggs, beaten
2 cup / 500 ml
milk
1/2 cup / 125 ml
sugar
1 tsp / 5 ml
vanilla
pinch
salt
1 1/2 cup / 375 ml
cooked short grain rice, cooled
1/2 cup / 125 ml
raisins (optional)
1/8 tsp / 5 ml
nutmeg, cinnamon .

Directions

  1. Beat eggs, add milk, sugar, vanilla & salt.

  2. Beat till fully mixed but not foamy.

  3. Stir in rice (& optional ½ cup / 125 ml raisins).

  4. Pour mixture into a 2-quart round casserole dish.

  5. Bake uncovered in a water bath (place the casserole dish in a pan of water in the oven).

  6. Bake 30 minutes at 325.

  7. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg and stir.

  8. Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes.

  9. Serve hot or cold in individual dessert bowls.
